Abbey Ales Produce

Bellrinnger 4.2% abv

Notably hoppy ale which is light to medium-bodied, clean-tasting, refreshingly dry, with a balancing sweetness. Citrus, pale malt aroma and dry, bitter finish. Consistent. Amber gold in colour.

Mild 4.0% abv

Mild is traditionally the month that Camra promote Mild and we like to offer our support when we can and produce a 4.0% abv dark Mild for May.

Mild doesn't necessary mean week: it means 'not bitter'. Many Milds are indeed low gravity, but the most important characteristic of this style is that is has a low hop rate which makes it rounder, normally slightly sweeter, and distinctly less bitter on the palate and in aroma than more highly hopped bitters. Usually but not always Mild is darker in colour than bitter.

Chorister 4.5% abv

A well balanced 4.5 % abv brown malty ale brewed with local Wiltshire Maris Otter malt and finished with Fuggles hops.

Bath Star 4.6% abv

Bath Star is a 4.5% abv golden brown bitter brewed from the finest Maris Otter malt and finished with cascade hops and is named after the breweries only pub The Star Inn, which has twice been Baths Campaign for Real Ale Pub of the Year.

Resurrection 4.6% abv

In the 2004 Camra Good Beer Guide, Abbey Ales has been credited with a brand called Resurrection, a 4.6% guest beer for April. Such is the power of the Drinker's Bible, that we started getting requests from Beer Festival organisers all around the country for "Resurrection please, you know, your Easter Guest beer"! Thus it was meant to be and our Head Brewer Martin Langham produced a golden new 4.6% brew.

Steeple Jack 4.7% abv

Salvation 4.8% abv

Twelfth Night 5.0% abv

Twelfth Night Our special Christmas winter warmer ruby in colour full of malt flavours and an ideal winter warmer, perfect for supping whilst sitting around a real log fire in your local, merrily eating hot chestnuts!

White Friar 5.0% abv

Probably the most popular seasonal ale we produce.

Black Friar 5.3% abv
